Sarina R. Marlin

Attorney

Sarina started at the firm as a law clerk in 2022 after her first year as a student at Pepperdine School of Law. In her first year of law school, she competed in the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre Moot, earning an individual award for the highest scoring oral argument across all rounds. Sarina additionally competed in the Moriarty Appellate Moot for first-year law students, finishing as a semi-finalist. She continued participating in moot competitions throughout her law school career and received various individual accolades, including in the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot and the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot, and separately earned a CALI award in cyber crime and security.

By her last year of law school, Sarina was elected as the Vice President of Pepperdine’s International Arbitration Society, and she participated as a tribunal member scoring competitors in the preliminary rounds of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. Sarina graduated from law school in May of 2024, and was admitted to the State Bar of California in December of 2024, transitioning from a law clerk to an associate attorney.

Sarina was born and raised in Thousand Oaks, only leaving Southern California for her undergraduate studies at the University of California-Berkeley, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies in December of 2020. During her undergraduate studies, Sarina worked at Marlin & Saltzman law firm (no relation) as a file clerk, and she volunteered as a crisis counselor on an emergency hotline during the same period. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve her life-long home of California through legal advocacy.

When not in the office, Sarina is often spending time with her family and her pets. She is an avid video game player, and loves listening to music, podcasts, or catching up on the newest TV shows and movies.
